Arcus E

The Arcus is a high-performance two-seater with a 20 meter wingspan and flaps. The model has been developed and manufactured by Schempp-Hirth Flugzeugbau GmbH. Within the scope of cooperation of Lange Aviation and Schempp-Hirth Flugzeugbau, the Lange Company is equipping a self-launching version of the Arcus series with an electric propulsion system. This specific sailplane is called Arcus E. Its propulsion unit is based on the well proven engine which had originally been developed for our Antares 20E.
Market leader Schempp-Hirth uses our propulsion system, too: Tilo Holighaus and Axel Lange enter the cockpit to jointly accomplish the Arcus E’s maiden flight.
